more about eric:

In 2008, shortly after leaving high school to start working, eric started lifting as a way to create structure while in a difficult environment. by age 18 he was out on his own, spending most of his time working and at the gym. From the start he has been committed to continuously learning and keeping up to date with strength research and its application. in 2013, he self-coached his way to winning his natural pro card, becoming the youngest pro in the ifpa at the time. in 2014 he started powerlifting. After winning best lifter at his first meet, he went on to place 5th at nationals two months later. during this period he began programming for others as a hobby to gain experience. since then he has competed at 10 consecutive national meets with many podium finishes, 6 arnold classic meets including a gold medal win, held american records in the deadlift as a jr and open lifter in the 75kg class, and won an open raw national title in 2022. His coaching success at nationals also earned him various “best team” awards in recent years.

in 2018 he opened odyssey barbell club. for the first 3 years he worked a full time job and coached a full roster of athletes while managing the gym as it gained traction. odyssey has since earned a reputation as a premier powerlifting gym, known for its clean-cut, respectful culture where members take pride in the space and each other, and for its energetic atmosphere.

eric also serves as a co- State chair for usa powerlifting and works to develop new referees and welcome new lifters to the sport in new hampshire.

since 2019 he also has regularly directed meets at odyssey, running over 20 successfull meets to date. since his first time directing and giving lifters their choice of walkout songs, he has consistently innovated and improved the lifters experience, playing a major role in raising the standard for local meet production around new england.

 testimonials:

"Eric isn’t just a powerlifting coach who takes elite lifters to make them more elite. The impressive feat with his coaching was taking someone like me, who was at a novice level a couple of years ago, to a National level platform- one of the most commendable accolade with any successful powerlifting coaches. His programs are clearly well written, unique and very individualized. "
